Our nine year old son Noah is spending many evenings in tears as he contemplates our departure from Liberia, and the separation from his good friends ashore. Please pray for him. Olly

Dear Noah,
I live in Southern California and I know how sad it is to leave friends but i also know how exciting it is to make new friends. My very dear friends left here to go aboard the ship with you for the next two years and I do miss them. Not only did we pray for you here this evening but I asked my family in Indiana to pray for you too.
You know when your Daddy and I were growing up we had to leave our schools and friends behind as we moved around the country with Granny and Grandpa. It was difficult and very sad to leave behind really good friends, however it was also very exciting to know that I would make new friends again, and still remember old friends all the time. It also made the "friendship" between me and your Daddy incredibly strong - as it remains today. So, hard & tough it may be, but you'll get through it,and make wonderful new friends and have the experience and friendships from the past to pass onto your new friends. Thinking of you all at this time
Oh my sweet Noah!! I cried when I read that you have been so sad about leaving your friends. You have such a tender heart! The Lord has blessed you immensely! Noah, you have left "footprints" on the hearts of so many people who will NEVER forget you!!! Remember how hard it was for you and me when you got in that van to leave Texas??? I still can see your face in the back window waving goodbye!! However tough it is remember the Lord has placed you in Liberia to do exactly what you have been doing, making friends and impacting their lives. You are the 'hands and feet of Christ.' These people that you have met will NEVER EVER FORGET NOAH PEET!! You are planting seeds, Noah, know that. Someday you will be able to see the fruit of your friendships. We will pray for you and all your family, Noah. We know how hard it can be. We love you and will also NEVER forget your sweetness!
