23rd April...

...is St Georges Day*. Jesse cooked us a fantastic British roast, with mushy peas, beef steaks, roast potatoes and proper gravy, and this evening we had a British get-together (yes, we've invited the Welsh, Scottish and Irish too so they don't feel left out) with typical British desserts - trifle, crumbles etc.

Libby, of course, is not British, so we left her alone, sobbing, in her bedroom. Just kidding. She went for a sleep-over with her friend Megan (which was much more exciting than hanging out with a load of old people eating weird food that doesn't contain rice). Olly

* St George is the patron saint of England.
